it depends on ur career objective. If u want to continue in sme slowly climb up then it is not worth to take pay cut. If u want to move into mnc or big local co in the future, then u need to go through big 4. Otherwise the big co seldom consider sme candidates.
also impt to make the decision when young, those who stay in sme above 5 years not able to move to other places already.

for instance my classmate just joined as only a senior when he jumped from another mncc (due to different working experience). for him, his peers are managers but he needs about 2-3 years to get there, so really depends on what you want.

Hard truth is that you are already fallen behind by joining the SME. Better join the race now before the gap widens.

Does anyone knows the pay differences between a director/partner in Singapore compared to other countries like Malaysia or Hong Kong?

Probably not. I know of a senior 2 earning near 6 but he's an sa2 transfer from another office.
