The easiest way to get a salary increment is to speak with a new employer. If they are willing to invest in you, they will make an offer that meets your expectations. However, it may be difficult for your existing employer to increase your salary prior to the next budgeting period. Nonetheless, leave it too late and you may just lose your chance. Pretty sure u will have a raise when u get progressed/promotion, but just not inflation increment. afterall there is no inflation during recession period, make sense? Lets say the Assistant manager last year was earning $6k, the whoever get progressed from S2 to assistant manager will be earning the same $6k as well, instead of $6k + 3% increment if in a non-covid time. I think if thats the case, it's a fair call.

Isn't that yellow firm (E*)'s recruitment process is always the slowest? Anyone has experience? they always take 1 month or more to get back to u to schedule an interview or maybe shortlisting u for interview.
