Guys, let's keep this in the boundaries of realism, shall we. I give the benefit of the doubt to that SIM graduate who in 5 years is earning 10k a month, whom I'm genuinely jealous of. I can see that happening. Anything above that is clearly fiction.

During our meet ups they always talk about how ITE can earn 6 digits per month, then they laugh at me for studying until Uni and only earn 6 figures a year.

I did feel quite demoralised, until one day I happened to meet my best friend Hock Seng on his payday. He proudly showed me his payslip, "Hey XXX, see my payslip! 6 digits as usual bro!"

I discovered that with about 20 hours of OT pay in Jan, Hock Seng had earned $1367.35 for the month of Jan, which was a 6 digit salary.
haha that joke is as good as the SIMians

SIM-UOL graduates should stop lying or putting LSE anywhere on their certificates. It really degrades the value of true LSE graduates when people search LinkedIN or HR recruiters review resumes.

Why we should care? And why you should care about what we put our resumes/linkedin? You hiring?

Anyway, the 'true LSE graduates' are not better than us. We are all university grads from University of London group of colleges. When you talk about 'local grads' you also group NUS, SMU and NTU together. When we talk about 'UoL grads', we are also grouping the group of LSE, UCL, SIM etc. together. So we are in the same group.

Example - I have one LSE graduate in the same office and his work is poor, he always gets scolded by his boss. He is the typical through-train JC kind of guy.

Lol, it's SIM UOL and NOT LSE. It is just "direction" provided by LSE, don't you think it's very 不要脸 to claim that you're from LSE??????

Seriously guys, stop it.

LOOLLLLL. Have you taken a look at your SIM-UOL degree certificate recently? It states UOL and not LSE. You are NOT a graduate of LSE. You are a graduate of UOL THROUGH the SIM programme. Any hiring manager will catch you out the moment you come in for interview, from the way you stumble trying to answer competency questions (needed for any half-decent FO role) to the unpolished way you interchange chinese, english and colloquial singlish to your obvious lack of industry knowledge and network to establish even a sliver of credibility of your suitability for the role.

By the way an LSE degree looks like this, ://.documentscenter.com/data/attachment/upload/Image/LSE2.jpg

NOT like this ://s27.photobucket.com/user/Raffles88/media/uol.jpg.html

And yes, yes, I am Bill Gates' son. LOOOOOOOOOL

You are the one who is 'unpolished', if there is even this word. Yes, the cert states UOL but my point is that UOL = LSE. You see the LSE website "High academic standards - the same stringent academic standards apply to all University of London degrees, whether students are taught internally at LSE or study individually at a distance."(lse.ac.uk/study/UOLIP/international_degree.aspx)

We are tested to the same academic standards as LSE, and are as good or even better than LSE. And LSE also admits in this website that University of London degrees include those taught at LSE. Means LSE = UOL.

So stop bashing people who put LSE, it is the same as UOL. And stop be jealous that you are from a non-UOL/non-LSE background.

HAHAHA, go look up the word 'unpolished'. It means unsophisticated (ala, a simpleton like you).

It doesn't take a monkey of IQ more than 80 to show that UOL is an UMBRELLA of universities, which INCLUDE LSE but is not otherwise EQUIVALENT to LSE. Your statement that '[SIM-UOL is] as good or even better than LSE' is laughable at best. The fact of the matter is, you are not a graduate of LSE and will never be one in your current life.

How does it feel that a fresh grad doing BB IB as a first-year analyst will earn a monthly pay higher than you will EVER attain in your life? Well, I guess back-office guys like you get to knock off at 6pm.

Get off the forums, SIM-UOL grad.
