Depends on your definition of transferrable. If you are talking about public sector, vendor management and im8 knowledge are the bread-and-butter prerequisites for most govt IT roles. React/Node whatever are considered niche skill.

ah, more than happy to participate in this discussion, for me as an engineer, transferrable skills are anything big tech and greener pastures are looking out for. certainly not vendor management nor im8 in this case. hope this clarifies!

potential is v much subjective, low potential in terms of ability to transfer to FAANG? yes. low potential in terms of value created and essential to public good? perhaps not.
profit centre is v much a ownself say ownself shiok thing, least of all here in govtech. just take a look at the latest govcon, where amongst all the roles listed for MDR, majority of which were not in our profit centres?
