Perhaps the celling is around 11-13k? VP1 equivalent in UOB or AD in SCB.

generally you have higher chance if your expectation is falling at 30%-70% range. as a hiring manager my team's compensation also fall within this range.
It is possible to hit the upper end but you must be extremely excellent. Hiring manager will think twice why he offer you much more than(or maybe highest pay) his best subordinate.

Hi, thanks for this, very clear answer, including your follow on. Good to know it's just the base and good to hear your thinking on offers.
Out of interest, do you happen to be at SC or one of the competitors?
In my case, I have finished interviews for a role at SC and am at offer stage pending background check. The role I applied to is also advertised on mycareersfuture (not the role I linked to FYI) but my current salary at a competitor bank is higher than the top end listed on mycareersfuture.
As part of salary negotiation, what's the likelihood for SC to go above the range listed? And also, is band level/title something that SC will also negotiate on?

PS and just to add to the above - the listing on mycareersfuture for my role has a very wide range for salary - top end is double bottom end. SC interviewed me knowing my level at my current bank is higher than what their JD offers.

Simple answer - take MCF numbers with a pinch of salt, they are hardly reliable at all. It’ll be better to assess your working experience, the role you’re in, your current firm etc.

Thanks. Even a pinch of salt if it is the number SC has listed?

Its more towards the Band range.
For SCB:
I have friend joined below the range posted in MCF.
But at same time I also have friend join above MCF range
