Anyone else damn tired of all this AI slop going around? Not sure if only my place or others also have.
In my place, there's some managers who just discovered AI and think they themselves are the next Andy Warhol advertising genius. Their posters look like done in 2 mins, weird images, ugly layout, words say a lot but actually say nothing. Then they still hype it up like wow so nice, honestly feels like a bit of self-praise loop. Maybe in 2023 still OK but it's 2026 everyone can see through your slop
No one dare to tell them how ugly it is. And the AI videos ohmytian.
Need to vent as it is SO UGLY and SO OBVIOUSLY AI and no one is saying anything. If I'm a patient and I come and I see I will have so little trust in the place

Apparently instructions came from the top. Ministry level.
Embrace AI, incorporate AI..
A lot of things can use AI, but who is doing the interfacing for existing systems?
Test for accuracy? Post deployment verification? Still need manpower right.
Call IHIS/Vendor to troubleshoot? Of course not, all existing headcount.
From our end, many not even jg14 tasked to take on multiple portfolio, wear multiple hats.
With the freeze on headcount, its a sh1tshow.
Think July attrition is the one to watch. The hospital name also can flip more times than frying prata.

Simple advice:
Don't quit till you secure another job.

Changed job (in the same sector), people.
In 2022, my pay was $3.5K. Found a job (in healthcare too) and got my pay bump up to $4500. However, it was a job mismatch (tried out Admin healthcare). I was only there for 7 months before I landed myself into PHI in 2023 (offered $5K). With the recent MOH increment last year, got an increased about +/- 5%. Now, 2026, got myself a job in private healthcare offering me $7500.
In short, that’s 114% of pay increased from 2022 (within 4 years)! Switch job. Loyalty doesn’t give you much increments.

To put into perspective.
Am sure many people here, have considered.
But question remains, total compensation similar? Higher than existing?
Not every organization gives 13th month + Company doing well(1mth?) + whatever own performance bonus.
Example. Using a high number.
if hospital pay me 20k per month (16 months total) = 320k
Jump ship for 10% (around 352k)
Say private banking sector gives 13th + 1month.
352k / 14 months = 25k estimate.
Dont think so easy, pivot to private get over 20-30% salary increment.
Not impossible, but challenging.
Quoting another user, assuming jg11 + 20% jump.
Senior executive 6k plus? 2 month bonus?
Where to find such good deals? everybody also want.
Assistant manager, some sector dont even have 6k.
Passion does not put food on the table.

Looking for some inputs.
I was in Singhealth as Senor Exec, left in 2014 after 5+ years, last drawn 4.5k. Went Govt agencies. After 3 years, got 5.5k.
Then I was in Pte sector, earning up to 9.5K per month for base pay at tech companies
Unfrotunately, company downsized and I had to find another job.
Went to a Singhealth hospital at the same grade JG12, at 5.3k doing similar role in Patient Ops.
HR told me its internal equity to consider, so they can't give more, and I was out of healthcare for a while as well.
The grade was JG12. But I then realized I was placed at lower end of JG12, which made me fumed. My experience was also related as was in Patient Ops in healthcare and Public Svc. Even in tech, I was managing Customer Service software. Unfortunately, tech is not doing well and I had to accept the pay drop.
Question - any possibility of pay adjustment if I can find a tech-focused role in Singhealth? How much are they paying? Possible to jump in grade if I can get my tech experience recognized?
