After being "established" as an LAE,
The starting pay in ST aero is 2.9K for degree holders, with 8-years bond (inclusive of training period).
The starting pay in SIAEC is 2.8K with 9-years bond (inclusive of training period).

The package offered by St aero is much more attractive than SIAEC. So I doubted how many degree holders SIAEC can recruit with such an "allowance only" trainee package.
SIAEC requirement has changed from "A good recognized degree in any discipline" to "degree in any discipline". It seems that SIAEC HR has difficulties in recruiting "good" degree holder.

Hi I just got called for interview with siaec next week... May I know if the aptitude test will be conducted on the same day as interview? Also, what are the type of questions they may ask in the aptitude test? Do they contain engineering/maths questions? I am not an engineering grad... What would I need to read up in for the test? Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!

In my case, aptitude test is set immediately after the interview. There are some mechanical engineering and maths related questions, as well as some "IQ test" Questions. All multiple choises. To me, nothing is needed to read up for preparation as it is purely based on your foundamental knowlege leant in secondary school. If you are good at maths and science, then no need to worry about it.

Thanks so much for the quick reply... May I know how in-depth are the questions on maths and mechanical engineering? Is secondary school knowledge enough? Thus, if I were to revise my secondary school physics and A/E maths textbook would it be enough?

Thanks!
