E5 - Engineer
E6 - Senior Engineer
M1 - Assistant Team Lead
M2 - Team Lead / Assistant Manager
M3 - Manager
M4 - Senior Manager
and so on...

many a times, the designation is only meant to look good during client engagement. doesnt reflect exp and pay 😆

That is how they push responsibilities down the ranks.
E5, E6 as some manager but M1, M2 as assistant or principal engineers.
So manager tank more roles than engineers?
