With lesser leave days, benefits and the main problem is the one year contract. Is not even the standard 2 years to enpanelment contract.
I think it’s a really bad deal while I’m keen on the role as I want to move out of my current company but I am reluctant to take this offer. Peers around me have been saying that this is normal for govt sector to offer such contracts nowadays?

A bit confused about how promotions work...
Assuming most farmers retire at MX11/11A, does that mean most of them only get promoted 2-3 times in their life? And for the remaining years, they only get about $200 increment?
Or are there promotions within the grade? For e.g. a MX11 getting promoted to a new job title (and promotion increment) but still remains at MX11.
Grateful for any clarification!

There are no sub-grades for the MX scheme. Its 13,12,11,11A,10, super scale (9 and below). Yes it means most may stay the same grades for long periods. Some choose to go out, some stay. Increments range from 3-4% a year, subject to the salary cap for the grade. But 3-4% over 10 years is about 50% increase in pay, if you don't factor in any promotions.

Currently drawing mid 7k in a stat board doing IT. I've about 3 years of total experience. How long would it take to hit the 8 to 9k mark?

Just joined CS from private sector. What do all the 4 components of my gross monthly salary mean, or if they matter at all? I compared with my gf and can see that a lower MX rank has more % in basic.
I also heard like-for-like performance, higher MX get more months of PB?

Refering to this link. You max at 16k. At 43, you better off in banking as a local bank SVP that earns 18 to 25k

no leh. my range is 11k-19k with 16k as the bar to cross in the middle. Also, i presume the 18-25k pay you referenced for a local bank is all inclusive i.e. annual pay divided by 12.
My 11-19k is monthly pay (not including performance bonus in Apr, mid year bonus in July and end of year bonus in Dec).
