How much are you earning per annum?

2014: 38400 (research assistant, 3.2k a month, no bonus)
2015: 40128 (4.5% increment, pro-rated, received 1.5 mth PB, also pro-rated when my contract ended)
2016: 56400 (started post-grad on scholarship with 3200 stipend , with part-time teaching salary, take home, no 20% contribution, only 17% employer contribution)
2017: 56400 (same as above)
2018: 56400 (same as above)
2019: 66000 (same as above, passed QE, stipend increased)
2020: 66000 (same as above)
2021: 81600 (rounded down, graduated, research fellow)
2022: 104252 (joined company, Scientist)
2023: 110500 (same as above, with increment after confirmation, I failed probation period at 3 months mark due to some disagreement with my RO, RO got fired a few months later, I got confirmed. Missed out on bonus though)
2024: 137200 (rounded down, promoted to Asst Manager in June, will update again when I get bonus next year)

Sharing my experience for those who intend to do their postgraduate studies.

I heard the PhD journey can be really tough. How were the hours doing research and studies like?

How are your working hours like now?
Thank you. It really depends on the nature of your research. Mine was more experiment based so with proper planning you should be able to stick to an average of 9hr a day, similar to work. I have to do some of my stuff on weekends because I was teaching undergraduate modules.

My work hours are normal now, 8.30am to 6.00pm, but sometimes I have to dial in for meetings with overseas collaborators at 3am, but you can claim time-off to go work later the next day.

this one big cannon or not u think. I thought those phd paid like 5-6k one but tis one like buay pai
