To those who are asking genuine questions looking for sincere answers, do not take their replies seriously. For they have nothing of value to share with you except taking every opportunity to mock you either blatantly or subtly. Just my 2 cents.
so whats your contribution? dun just do the typical grandstanding when u yourself got nothing to add.

Actually, what you are describing sounds like academia (without the teaching portion) or even a writer.

But like what others say, some levels of networking is still required. Maybe not on a daily basis, but you still need it.

Jobs for introvert is one thing. Employers hiring is another. The introvert talk here is all about no matter whether the job is suitable or not but the employer will still prefer to hire an extrovert for a job suitable for introvert. So, it's the society. People judge and discriminate. Even if it's suitable for introverts, when there's a lot of choices, one tend to pick the sociable one since both applied which means both wants to work and maybe the extrovert expressed himself better during the interview. Of cos, that's just stereotyping but anyone can say it's not true?

I think true or not true is a waste of time to think. End of the day, empty stomach needs money, so we either have to adapt or forever complaining about society.

Is there any specific industry or job role that allows someone with tertiary education (degree or diploma) to work alone or independently most of the time, without having to consult or liaise a lot with other parties or be micromanaged by having minute details and decisions examined? Not concerned with career advancement as long as the job and industry is stable with monthly income.

I am OK with the occasional meetings (like once a week or 2 weeks) to update the boss or gather requirements from customers or users.

I was in an operations job previously dealing and coordinating with multiple stakeholders, professional networking, and meetings daily. I detested it.

Thanks.
As you can see from the amount of replies here, the world isn't very forgiving and compassionate towards introverts.

These are some fields I can think of where interactions with stakeholders are limited or kept to a minimum: IT (programming), accounting/tax/audit (in small firms), financial analyst (need to present to management though). Since you don't aspire for career advancement, remain as an individual contributor and you'll still be able to survive with a fixed income.

Well, require interaction or not. Employers' preferences matter. Just do what u think is right.

I think most of those who posted in this thread, including those who call themselves an introvert cannot tell the difference between being shy and being introverted. Introverts have no problems talking to others about topics they care about.

Its ok to be introvert and find jobs that don't need much interaction, but like the TS expect to get paid stable salary every month and yet just want to do everything alone and don't even want to talk to the boss every week is plain ridiculous.
