I am a guy too. Now a trainee. Cried a few times in office and on my way
home. Never had such feelings of worthlessness and depression before.
Senior associates and partners don’t give instructions clearly and no guidance at all, expecting me to know how to do and what they want. Everyday I will get scolded or made sarcastic remarks on me as below my dignity. It is like I will be made to quit anyday soon and it is because of me and not them.

But what can I do? Complain to law society and LS will side with me a yet to qualify lawyer? By then I may not even get my qualification.
Does LS even know what’s happening in the industry at all in the treatment toward trainees and junior associates?

Not sure why there are comments alleging trolls. Just because it doesn’t apply to your case doesn’t mean others don’t get it.

Bro I feel you. Just an advice though never let your gf see you cry like that, otherwise she will think you’re a weakling and break up w you. It happened to me.
When girls cry it’s okay. When guys cry they think we are weaklings

I'm a new poster, PQE 5 this year.

My heart goes out to you (and all the poor trainees suffering in silence). I completely understand how you feel, I've been through it (haven't we all?). Please hang in there and learn as much as you can, eventually you will gain portable skills to make the next career move.

Think of it as a rite of passage - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. All the best!

For those who joined in house directly after TC or called, will it be very difficult to apply back law firms given that the skill sets learned are not that similar?

I currently have an in house offer which starts directly after my TC,thinking what should I do?
