Used to be a very high flying lawyer at one of the top firms in Singapore. I thought I had everything, good academic results, a fellow lawyer as a girlfriend, a lawyer in one of the top firms... until I found out my ex gf was cheating on me the entire time.

What’s worse, with another lawyer I know. Many months later I found out that my relationship with this girl had been a lie from the start. She intentionally dated me to cause me to become an emotional wreck on the goading of a lawyer she has always been romantically involved with but which I was not privy to.

I share this because when I watch the new season of Code of Law S5, and a honey trap was laid for the managing partner Dennis by his fellow partner in the same firm in order to compel him to do his goading, this all seem so uncannily similar to my predicament.

All I can say, keep your eyes wide open for the male lawyers. You never know when a honey trap has been laid by your competitors.

Hey can empathise, but that happened with a different non-lawyer girlfriend I had. After that I stopped dating Staceys. Got my revenge with the break-up, pretending to want to get back together and counter-cheating on her. She was never secure after that. She begged for a couple months, to be fair, deleting text messages wasn't really cheating but my feelings died on that red flag.

Hope you move past it soon, revenge is always sweet and never bitter (obviously, don't do unlawful things but emotional pain goes two ways). If she sees you doing well as though she'd never existed she'd feel hollow too - if she cared, that would suck. If she didn't, she wasted her life being a honey trap as alleged.

Obviously, again, pls don't go and do something illegal, 拿得起放的下. My point is you can make a stink and throw it back lawfully. Success is your best revenge, continue flying high. Get well soon.
