Work wise - nope. Pay is very very sensitive, those in FLAs on SG side may choose not to tell you that they are second class in terms of last drawn. This is also why this forum exists (fourth wall, broken)
The selectivity of local side is no higher than any non-FLA. Some differences, but across the board within a reasonable band of difference.

Are FLAs more selective than non-FLAs for TCs?

Must have been international rate hire (if comparable). This is because they must have made a strong local case of quality.

Can I answer by analogy? Politely, as I do not wish to offend anyone am more of a neutral observer. Does EHE hire more selectively now or from 1 July? If the merger is scuppered, HEP will likely hire in the same way it always has pre, post, and during merger. It makes no difference whatsoever.
Not likely that the hiring practice has changed so much in 1-2 months.

Haha that reminds me of the time when A&G and A&O considered merging but failed in the end. Besides sharing the same name, A&G probably does not want to share their own reputation and capabilities.

Yes but the bottom line is if your pay is comparable to the SG bracket (below Baker, as my benchmark), you are on domestic pay. If your pay is comparable to CC, you're on international. Take that as a rule of thumb.
If there's a difference of 15% or more for the same PQE, you're on the domestic track. If your pay ish 15% more you're on the intl track.
15% means you look around you and start asking questions. Y dis guy or gal same PQE different pay neh does it mean I weak sir. The firm will also have a strict confidentiality policy (usually) to prevent people from discussing pay as it is a touchy topic.

WP > R&T for corp generally except for specific niche practices. No need to take my word for it too, just check the chambers or legal 500 rankings. Team culture wise, can only speak for WP as I used to work there -> standards are very high for work quality. If you can match those standards, people are nice and I enjoyed working there.
