There’s a reason they are called Flexi adjunct. Both words tells you it’s very flexible and subject to changes.

I once have a colleagues say MC one month due to injury, they hired a FAJT for 1 month term. In the end my colleague say he can come back after 2 weeks, giving hod only a day notice. The FAJT was terminated the next day already.

Bad performance at last school or feedback from previous contract school. Now too many FAJTs.

Last PB grade in MOE before quitting and or feedback rating by last school you were as a FAJT. When a FAJT contract ends, HOD needs to give a rating/feedback for FAJT. If you had been a tough one to handle, that’s it.

actually now it seems quite hard to make decisions also

i heard that with the tightening of FAJT work requirements, many dont even want to be FAJT anymore. so some hods seem to be having a headache finding enough FAJTs to plug the manpower shortage. end up some problematic ones may still stay on because the department got no choice

Yes, hard to get FAJT now when FAJT are required to do committee or FT or Cca. Defeats the purpose of converting. But be reasonable and not play hard to get, hods usually close one eye. Want to be FAJT, want to be slack but want high pay, want easy life. Cannot la, no one owes you a living.

Hi all, is it possible for my application to be successful if a school request for me to be an FAJT in their school? I was called by my old school to come work as an FAJT there. But my application was unsuccessful.

Yeah weird thing is, my fajt colleague has been with our school for a year plus and he renewed his registration license earlier this year and it came out unsuccessful. No bad reviews frm our school definitely. Wonder whats up.

Also wondering like the previous poster said, if school makes a request for that fajt's license to approved or renewed, can HR do anything.

Anyone knows the pay for FAJTs? Asking for GEO 5 and SEO1. Thanks!

But not disclosed.

For instance, social media postings may be adversely affecting the employability.

The presence of visible tattoos may not help either.
