Had my first round of interview with one of the ministry this Thursday. Before that, the job ad was supposed to be already closed for application. But it resurfaced after my interview. I thought I left a good impression to my interviewers. Should I gave up hope on this position? Anyone can advise? Thanks!

Does status changed to shortlisted in careers at gov meant I will be call up for interview? Or they can change the successful anytime?

beside the bonus and year of service not effected. the yearly increment will be affected? I was told by HR that the yearly increment will be one year later from the date I join.

Is there a "shortlisted" status besides "unsuccessful", "submitted" and "In process"?

The role may be converted to perm if there is a headcount and if your performance meets the hirer's expectation.

anyone from hr?, usually what happens after interview?, does organization really need 2 to 3 weeks to make a decision?, i know that they wont send rejection mail to you immediately cos in case ur 2nd or 3rd choice.. if 1st offered candidate reject then they go for 2nd and so on right?.. been 2 weeks since my interview, send them an email asking about my interview status but no reply.. i guess they will just ignore all inquiries about pass interview results?, anyone have success asking?...

Hi, would like to seek advise from here.

I went for an interview for an adjunt position (1-year contract) on the 26 Jan. This is from one of the ministry.

Got a letter to go for a medical checkup. Done it on 24 Feb.

Got a call from HR to submit for documents on 01 Mar. Send and received by the HR on 02 Mar.

Send an email to HR asking any updates on 15 Mar. HR reply 1 day later, saying currently processing my application.

Called HR on 30 Mar for updates. They reply saying will update me the following week (this week).

Gave them a call yesterday, HR say still no update and say they are still processing. The HR lady also say my case seem to be unusually long, and claim that she do not know why.

My job application status for this job in the career.gov show "Shortlisted"

So does this mean I got the job or not?
