I am applying to MHA.. G50 is a MINDEF-only paperwork I believe.

MINDEF takes a few months to clear everything (G50, medical, MSD checks), the wait can be quite anxiety-inducing. MHRD will update you on other processes such as MINDEF IDs/MSD clearances, have you started on those? If you like some more information on the timeline, I can try to provide some extra information (former MINDEF staff)

For medical check, what do they check for? Is it possible to fail? I am pes C and worried that I will fail the medical check up

They check for general health, like whether you have terminal illnesses such as cancer, diabetes or AIDS. The exact details.. I am not exactly sure.

Yes, you can fail the health check, I know people who did. PES status is not a deathblow, they might ask for some details, and might request for extra health checks outside or from your specialist. I had to provide extra information when requested to do so (my PES was C when I joined)

can you please elaborate. how long does G50 usually takes to clear?

I can only speak from my own experience, but it took around 5-6 weeks

Do you usually start work after the G50?

Or do you still need to wait longer for other things to process once security is cleared?

The 5-6 weeks referred to the time from where I submitted my G50 clearance and when I went for my contract briefing. You won't really be updated on what happens and all the clearances are concurrent, and there were other things I had to after I did my G50

Hi guys...

I went for an interview at a PA today...

It was a panel interview of 4 interviewers.

Immediately after the pleasantries, I was asked to share a little bit about myself.

I shared with them how i started working in the charity sector as a fundraiser because i wanted to help people. When i got to the part whereby I told them i raised 8 figures as a fundraiser within 3 years for a rather small charity, an interviewer (i assume is the highest ranked) started telling me that i have a speciality and not everyone can raise such amount for charities. It takes good skills and peoples skill to do it.

I thanked him, and before i could say anything, he almost went on trying to convince me that charities need people like me and my skills are invaluable to the less fortunate. I have the leverage to ask for a good salary etc etc..

He almost exclusively spoke for 30 minutes (all other interviewees had only 15 minutes).

One interviewer even joked that we were convincing one another why i should stay and why i wanted the position.

We ended the conversation by him saying 'i have given you lots to think through, if you are interested to join us, email our HR manager'

He tried so hard to convince me not to join them, but yet, asked me to email their HR if i am interested?

I am so confused????

Kindly check with you all, for singapore custom. I went interview last month on th 18 april. Any idea when will i know if is successful or unsuccessful. Coz the status still shortlisted
