It depends.
I've got friends who waited for 2 months and got accepted. I myself waited for 2 months and was rejected.
There are also some who reject/accept fast. Know someone who settled in within 1 month.

Seek you guys' advice.
Agency A contacted me last week after interview to say they will proceed with the application, including reference checks, but will need 3-4 weeks to confirm an offer.
Immediately the next day, Agency B made a verbal offer, deadline to respond by next Fri.
Very much prefer Agency A's work and also, Agency B is shift-based and Covid-exposed. If you are unemployed, would you take up Agency B out of desperation, but quit if Agency A does come back with an offer? Will you get blacklisted by Agency B subsequently? Any comments would be appreciated.

Are Agency A and Agency B in the same sector?

From experience, I would not recommend jobs which involve shift work especially if you are a graduate. Even more if it involves exposure to covid.
If its a perm position, I don't think you can quit shortly after joining without incurring a 'bad' reputaition. So think carefully

How desperate are you and how confident are you in securing agency A's job? Reference checks can take really long especially with the covid19 situation so if you really need a job now then just go for B. If you can afford to wait and take a gamble, decline B and go with A. After all, it seems like the grass on A is a lot greener to you.

Reference Checks
Talking about reference checks, what exactly is checked ah when it comes to applying for ministries and sb? Especially for fresh grads with only intern experience. Seems like there’s nothing much to check leh, but was wondering what to expect. Will they only call up the references I provided on my application or will they call up every single employment I listed on my resume for employment verification/character questioning?

Guys can I just ask:
I got an offer from CPF as a 2019 social science NUS grad for a customer service role. They are offering mid 2k before CPF with a $250 allowance a month, and I'll get promoted to an exec role if I stay for a year if they renew the contract.
I am honestly so very tired of job hunting (been doing it for a year) so I want to take up this job, but my main conflict is how I will be able to build a career outside of the organization with just CPF product knowledge as well as experience handling inbound calls.
I am just unsure of where I can go to next after I spend a year with CPF. Was wondering if anyone here can help shed some light on if my experience at the job will be helpful in any other career paths going forward.
