When I first joined the profession I was also shocked. Teachers in school, rude citizens outside. But ok lah…it’s just a job. Doesn’t take a saint to be. Just someone willing to be judged constantly.

If I get a reservist callup and the school's deferment request is rejected, there is nothing the school or even the Ministry can do right?

Don't like the lifestyle and the role is the same as can't do.

I like how this person like to over generalize everything in life and is all about being faster and cheaper isn’t it? Hahahaha. I think the OP is trying to say how public feedback is often misinterpreted. Keep up your strong effort for the economy ok? We need you!

The workers there simply adapt themselves to the culture of the workplace. That’s why so many of them are burnt out as they are serving the social economy but being judged with criteria which are not easily enforced equally across the board.

Yeah guess you have a point from that perspective. Though when people say “can’t do”, they are implying that the person is incompetent at the job.

And that I find is quite inaccurate. Doing is a lot easier than teaching others. Applying your engineering knowledge is a lot easier than teaching others engineering. Because if people have questions, you better be able to answer. And as teachers , we get questioned a lot. Students can smell BS from a mile away. There’s google these days for them to fact check too.

I changed school in June 2023. Was my perf grade decided by my previous school or current school?

By right should be done by both schools. But it’s ultimately your current school doing the ranking, they should excercise their due diligence to find out what you did in your previous school. However, you are new to the school and a C grade can be easily justified and your colleagues who is in school longer than you get a higher grade, one stone kill two birds.
