Performance bonus is only for confirmed officers, after you have graduated from NIE.
In this case, your PB is prorated as your service starts from term 2.....

And How big the difference is between the increment for promoted and non-promoted?

Personal experience. Can be $90 for geo 2/3 for a C grade to $192 for a GEO 3 C+ grade to $ 205 for a GEO 4 B grade.

Heard of less than $50 from my colleagues.

My take is whether you are promoted or not promoted, to focus on how you can improve on the coming year.

Merit Increment depends on your sub grade, your Performannce grade for that year, economic growth and projection for this year. No hard and fast rule. Civil Salaries raise sets the benchmark for private sector too.

Even people here are just posting based on their personal experience.

No point reading too much into it, and too fine detail comparison.

If you have been performing well (don’t ask about the specific performance grade because it’s always relative) and your CEP is promising, you should be identified by HR for this grooming opportunity. A close friend got selected for this and he’s been doing well in his school for a few years already. They usually notify you in Nov?
