I think it's a pretty good switch if you're considering jumping from traditional engineering into tech consulting (a growing/sunrise industry).
Also, realistically speaking, not many from engineering possess the necessary programming skills to compete with the software peeps for the first job at least.
Working at big 4 will provide the platform to develop in tech areas of interest (very diverse), not necessarily limited to roles like software engineering/data analytics. There's tech solutions delivery which develops aptitude in softwares like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft azure etc which paves a pretty decent career in the long-run

Why tf do people still want to work as auditor in this day and age? It boggles the mind. It's a blue collar version of the white collar job. Insane hrs, literally lowest pay of all professions. Except maybe for architects, but architects at least can take comfort in fulfilling self-actualization of designing stuff and being creative. Who tf has a burning passion for balance sheets?

How hard is the SCAQ professional papers compared to uni modules? For example, the SCAQ tax paper vs ntu AC2301 tax exam
also, hearsay now FR is exempt for all local uni-grads
