People chiong in school because their brains are developing and it's the best time to train mental skills and learn how to absorb knowledge fast and process them. Parents know this that's why they enforce it onto their kids.
Look at Tech, there's a reason why programmers from 13-14 years old will always fking destroy 20-30 late starters no matter how much they work. These kids develop logical thinking from a young age and learned how to process knowledge fast. They can cruise, relax and the 20-30 year old people can tryhard and still lose...
Same for doctors, pharmacists and many more.
The brain isn't some muscle that you can keep training, it eventually reaches a peak and declines.
So the JC / local uni kids may end up same place as private uni or other dumbasses but know this, there's a huge gap in their intellectual capabilities. The JC / local uni kids will ALWAYS have a higher chance of rapid progression IF they tried hard while the other category has a lower chance.

Kena brainwashed by profs that for acc grads path is to go big 4 and grind a few years lo. Otherwise, it is during uni days, didn't explore other career paths lor. Also Big 4 has the largest recruitment pool of fresh grads ma so for fresh grads, it is easier to enter big 4 and have a brand name then jump out to find jobs. Otherwise, most are determined to take CA at Big 4 as they offer study and exam leave with tuition and exam paper sponsored by firm. Then once get CA, they jump out of Big 4 and command a higher salary lo.
Anybody can verify that is Big 4 still the path for accounting professionals whereby staying for 2-3 yrs and then jump out to get higher salary in industry or not applicable le
