Gross monthly salary around $5k in a US MNC.
Take home around $4k.
Parents $800, savings $2k, transport (including cab) around $200.
Rest goes into food / entertainment.

Company offers voluntary employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount on US-listed company shares up to 10% of our gross salary. Any thoughts whether I should maximise it?
Hey which US MNC is that? Which industry?
I’m also working for a US MNC but mine doesn’t seem to have such plans

How to be in such research reporting fields? As in what qualifications should one preferably have? Accountancy grad here

Mid 20s

Annual compensation around 110K sgd

No expenses other than food and giving parents money

Thinking of investing part of salary to stocks and maybe buy a condo to rent out

Yeah I'm calling BS. The salary doesn't fit IB at a BB (too low), the writing is so simplistic (like a JC student), s/he doesn't go into any details about the job except the name, and a banker at a BB not spending anything except on food and allowance for parents? Please la. I know the job and I know the type.

Creating a fake persona on an anonymous forum is just going to make you feel worse about yourself. Try to be satisfied with what you have. It is always healthier to face reality than to pretend otherwise.

The compensation isn’t too far off actually. Some BBs (or perhaps non-BB intl banks) have a lower base with bonuses dependent on deal flow.

100% with you on the writing and fake persona though.
