About 85k per annum.
Save 800 monthly. 500 to parents, 500 to car(remaining paid by spouse). 300 to kiddos enrichment. I dont keep track of grocery spendings but if there are any spare, I save.
Have more than a years worth of savings.

Do feel that I am earning quite little though compared to people my age😟
Umm...the real question is what excatly are you spending on? Hookers, alcohol and cigarettes? No offence but assuming what you earn gross which comes to $7083 a month. Take off CPF of $1200 gives you a net income of $5883. Deduct your expenses including savings mention you are still left with $3780. How did you spend that sum of money every month?

Is earning near 9k at age 30 okay ? With 2-3 month bonus and comes with work live balance.
Not sure what else to look forward ? Maybe earning 15k to 20k by age 40 ?

Considered low. Maybe you can look forward to something outside of your career since you obviously suck at it.

At the age of 40, earning 15 to 20k is not bad at all I would say.

It depends who youre asking and what group youre comparing with.

This is salary.sg, where high income earners like the top 1% come to flaunt and satisfy their ego.

If I say you are earning less than half my pay although I am younger than you. Does that count as okay to you?

But guess what? In another thread there was a guy claiming to earn three times my income

And even he got whacked by yet another guy in the same thread, who is earning the same but passively, effortlessly.

One mountain is higher than the next. Be content with what you have.

s://.efinancialcareers.sg/news/2017/06/which-banks-to-work-for-if-you-want-a-big-intern-salary-in-singapore

There are interns earning more than you, albeit without the work life balance.

If you want work-life, then cannot be too ambitious already.

9k isnt low persay, I feel its very good, but you can continue to work towards 20k like other people here.
