Just bcos micron is way bigger on a global scale doesn't automatically make it a better choice. u have to think abt the scale of its operations in singapore alone and the kind of work available in sg in micron and the strategic important of sg for micron. and when u balance it out against the opportunities for u in singtel, singtel is definitely better in the local context

Agreed with you. Singtel is bigger than micron and has bigger operations overseas too. Singapore is big enough, we don't need to go global. Moreover Micron don't have the scale to match singtel. I don't know what is micron size but from the name you can tell it is very small.

Because not all qualify for MNCs. When they don't qualify for MNCs like Micron, they downgrade for next tier which are GLCs and the likes of Singtel. And they say all sorts of things to make themselves feel better like convincing themselves Singtel is better in some imaginary context or MNCs are SMEs. The grapes are always sour to them.

It means nothing to work in Micron as a low level engineer, and their corporate roles (if there are any) surely pale in terms of prospects and pay when compared to Singtel. Though I guess you can look at their market cap/share price/MNC status while you jerk yourself off to take your mind off the fact that the Singtel guy is earning more than you.
