What are the career prospects of a process engineer? What is the salary/career path that I can look forward to?

Process engineers usually have lots of OTs and must be of garang type. I was in process working from 7.30 to 6 everyday and boss usually like to call for meeting at 5.30 to discuss stuff until 7. FTs will come out with all sorts of pattern to look good, like go for dinner then come back work until 10. Will take pictures and email boss at that time to show they are still working. Starting pay 2.8k to 3.2k.

Means you earn 8416 per month. That’s more than enough to own a car and stay in a condo. Yes, this is highly successful.

tell me how can you drive a car and live in a condo with 8416 per month? Unless you wife earn 20K per month.

Honestly, it is not successful or failure, it is in the middle.

I have owned a car since my first working year when my starting salary was only ~$3000 per month.
Now $8416 per month is more than sufficient for me to continuing owning a car.
Of course, I choose to stay in a HDB 5-room which I think is already sufficient. I do not see the necessity to stay in a condo.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but I'm an engineer in my 2nd year at a statboard making close to 90K per annum including AWS and bonuses. My work is not fulfilling as I don't do real engineering, but I'm scared to venture outside given statistics like this.
