JG17: AD -> SAD
Seems like they do away with Executive and fresh grad starts at SE. Or may Executive rank for diplomas and below (I'm not sure yet).
I can't believe salary cap for JG will decrease. Is that true? How is it possible to decrease?
If the same job title's salary cap decrease, it's understandable because it is essentially a downgrade in JG. E.g. the new SE title is JG11, which was previously E2.

Does this mean fresh grads entered NUHS as SE all along? But for Singhealth and NHG they come in as E? Wondering if promotion will take a longer time now... so many titles in between

Not sure for NUHS. I recall seeing Executive before, but that was many years ago and it may be meant for diplomas as well.
At SingHealth and NHG, for sure fresh grads started as Executive.
The total no. of titles remains the same I think, just retitling.

For NHG, what’s the fastest timeline to get promoted from JG12 to 13? Is promotion based on year before’s TPM grade? Can we get promoted if we have gotten two “Good” grades consecutively or do we have to get Very Good and above the last year to get promoted this year

Huh but most people get “Good”/B grade because there’s a bell curve.
That means they forever not promoted?

there's time-based promotions and merit-based promotions
if merit-based then most likely no, or at least for my department most of them are stuck in the same ranks

I’ve known people to get promoted within 2.5 years but the TPM grade is VG / EE.

grade doesn't matter for promotion. it's really your RO perception and whether they are keen to put you up.
Was in NUHS -
2021 - MR
2022 - MR (Promoted)
depends on how badly they wanna fight for you.
