There’s different pods under TAP and the general TAP was put out way earlier and from there, you don’t get a definite choice to pick consulting. For the Graduate Consulting Analyst - TAP it’s just 2 Pods, one on tech consulting and the other mgmt consulting. For this opening’s applicants if you get an offer you’re confirmed on consulting just the type of consulting. That’s the only difference, so basically one opening is direct while the other you have to see if the hr will put you to your desired choice. As to why they differentiate, guess you’re asking the wrong person, you can write in an check with them on this.

HR did tell me though the period which you join will affect the duration to promotion, because the promotion cycle is in June. If you join before June and complete a year, you will be eligible for promotion next June. If you join after mid- year, you have to complete one year and then wait a few more months after to be promoted the following June.

So means technically we should join in may this year to qualify for June 2022 promotion? And with this is it confirmed all of us who joined before June this year get promoted? Omg if got to wait following June if join mid year so those who join like July 2022 or Aug 2022 have to wait till June 2023 to get promoted and that’s (1 year 11 months)….while others from the same batch if joined before June this year would have promoted twice.

I was under change mgmt and that’s mgmt consulting although it’s still relatively different mgmt consulting from the other consulting firms. My other peers in business analysis pods are pretty much tech consulting cos they dabble in some specific tech requirements etc.

But if you were to compare which do you learn more in business analysis pod is better than change management pod. Afterall, the mgmt consulting isn’t really mgmt consulting.

pretty much applicable for most eatablished org with fixed promotion cycle.

Hey is it hard to be assigned to change management/BA pod for the general program because when I asked HR they said they can't really guarantee

No. There is 2 promo cycle. Jun and dec. So will get promote in Dec 2023

hr internally only do their math so unless someone else rejects, it’s unlikely
