Yes, male with 2 yr NS.
But that starting rate was a long time ago, doesn't apply now.
THe starting pay now is ~3000or more for grad with merit.

thats high for no honors back in 2003. seem higher than average ministry/stat board

Maybe you're right. As I understood it, the ministry I joined revised the salary downwards shortly after I joined (2004)...

Then again, it wasn't long before they adjusted it upward (2005) again due to poor recruitment.

She has no NS, $200 less....must give some credit for the NS boys lah..

Is she under engineering or HR??

Normally engineer are paid more than the HR admin people.

I know a friend from NTU aerospace engineering 1st class female(no NS) getting $3700 starting.

i applied for a job at ie sg and hr called me two days ago to ask abt my current salary package (basic, allowances n perf bonus) as well as my expected.

apparently my resume was shortlisted by the line mgr and after asking me the qns told me that she'll need to discuss and will get back to me by today.

after reading all the posts, i think she may not call me back as i'm currently drawing 6.1k and i told her my min expected is my current salary.

the job i applied req'd either fresh grad/those with min 2 yrs of experience. out of my 6 yrs of exp, i have 4 yrs of relevant experience to the job although i'm one of those with a pass degree from local uni with no ns.

anybody can share some insight on how ie sg offers for pple with working experience? thanks!
