I regret trying for more competitive residency

Leaves were difficult to apply for

Training leave couldnt b used for exams . No study leave. Need to use annual leaves.

If take mc ppl assume u chao keng. Or you're deemed as weak because you're supposed to work even when Ill. So I didn't take care of myself when I was sick, but luckily I'm still healthy

Went thru all that in the end nothing to show for it.
Residency panel already preselected their favorites. The whole process is like a show only. Whoever they don't like, u do whatever they can say it's not enough. If you're blue blooded, you do shitty stuff they can say it smells nice

Oh well. Life is like that.
Nevermind. I shall redeem myself in my next life . Or in this life if I strike toto

I also don't think they are slacking as some doctors are just more detailed/document more/type slower than others. Some are also more senior than me so can be tricky to voice out

- seen from previous post some people suggesting previously just see your quota of 30/morning then go off for lunch but that doesn't feel right especially if there are patients waiting.
Don't know, but it feels that the doctors who are seeing fast are getting the short end of the stick here in this set-up
you cannot just see 30/ session and then leave. you will get complaint.

i wouldnt just leave a clinic just because my colleagues are slower. you go somewhere else, you might face bigger problem. i will leave a workplace if it is toxic and i do not consider having to take on more workload as toxicity (you have got to draw your own boundaries).

i agree with the suggestion that you also see slowly. just speak slower and speak more lo. remember you tolerate your colleagues, your colleagues also have to tolerate your nonsense. give and take la.

So the slower colleague go to the boss and say
Ey. Boss I buay song.
My teammate leave me to die at the queue and I have to see till 130pm to clear my 15 patient but he no teamwork and go for lunch at 1pm after seeing 30.

Said boss call U up and tell U to suck it up
Tank with ur slower colleague till U 2 finish same time or else I rank U lowly because U no team work.

Don't anyhow give poor advice la . Of course slower must be really significantly slower, not two or 3 patient difference you go gek gao. I can clear 45 while the slow one in my teamlet can be under 30 per day. And this is at 430pm. I ever once sat there to observe how much this slower person can see and it turns out to be quite fast once she realised I'm no longer seeing and it's time to go home. From there on, whenever I partner with her, I just leave when time is up.

i didnt think my advice was bad and it was what i would do in that situation. When i finish clinics, i would go to my other colleagues to make sure they are okay and not needing help.

we have to be pragmatic. to leave another colleague with 10 patients to see will definitely earn you the branding of poor teamworker. i rather help to see another few and then excuse myself with 'my wife/ husband/ children/ mom are asking me to go home now'.

each individual is a branding on its own and it is easier to lose the good branding than the bad ones. bad branding unfortunately stay with us forever.

Lolz. So your advice is to see equally slow. And then end up everyone help U 2 to see.
Nice. One pool of 90, 2 of U slow see 30 each, then whole clinic help U see the rest of the 30.
Pro , pro.
U pro U go tank the 60 while your colleague see the 30.
In which case, do let me know where U are from. I will hire you.
