Is it $12000 basic salary (excluding bonuses)

or

Is it Annual Salary divided 12 = $12000/mth or $144000/year (inclusive all bonus)

Being the modest people we all are, we will always write the lower number. Specifically, we will just write our basic salary (excluding bonuses).

It is very common, I am also drawing basic of $13,766 at the age of 37. Annual package inclusive of bonus is 255k.
