Default Can I serve my notice and put my last day of service on a non-working(Sunday) day?

Hi all,

My employer calculates salary based on calendar days. We have a 5-day work week. If i am going to tender my resignation, can I put my last day on a Sunday?

One more question is whether I can tender my resignation on 4th Apr and put the "with effect from 5th Apr...."

Thanks in advance.

can, but it will auto b moved forward to friday. that's the last working day.

if you start from 5th, make sure the total days in the period tally with the agreement signed - that you need to notify at least 30 days in advance.

Have to check with your company HR. Usual practice is calendar days notice, not work days. Example if you tender on 4 April, last day is 3 May. Since 3 May is a Sunday, brought forward to 30 April (1 May is PH). Though in this case I would tender a few days later to get the free PH.
