sorry i still dun get it.
if PB for c+ is 2 mths, that means total 1.75+2=3.75, so c is 1.5mth means total 1.75+1.5=3.25
still dun see how the 4.5mth come about?? ior s B+ consider average performance? but i remember a cs friend told me to get B+ need to be top 20% performer?

For C+ rating, PB is 2 mths
Theres 13th month = 1 mth
There's mid year and end year civil service bonus = typically this totals 1.5 mths
Grand Total of 4.5 mths.

Huh??? I thouht the declared civil service bonus is always inclusive of the 13th month as far as I know, how come you have a seperate 13th month component.= on top of the declared amount. Can I ask which ministry you are in?

Yes, the declared amount is inclusive of 13mo, dont forget we usually get an additional of 0.5mo to 1.2mo on top of the announced bonus.
Mid yr 0.5, pb 1.5 (average C), variable bonuses (sometimes have sometimes dont), end yr 2mo (inclusive of 13mo)...
I would say its between 4 to 4.5mo for an average performer.

Throughout my stay in CS, i have only gotten really bad bonuses in 2009 and 2010 where the year end bonus was 0.5 months. Other that that, i was averaging 5.5 mo a yr with B grades.
C is 1.5, b is 2.5 A can b 2.75 or 3, this is cery standard across all ministries. At the end of the day, u wont be a millionaire in CS but u wont starve.
Thanks all for the advice, i decided to take up offer 2, figured that is the least i could do for my country.

Ask yourself this: if all schemes pay and rate the same, what's the point of having so many different schemes? The real insiders would understand what I'm talking about.

For ease of explanation, I had done the breakdown in the manner which I did because I feel that it makes it easier for me to explain. It's entirely up to you whether you wish to place the 13th mth together with the year end civil service bonus. The total works out to be the same anyway.
For the purpose of my illustration, I placed the mid year and end year civil service bonus together = 1.5 months. In terms of breakdown of the 1.5, Mid year CS bonus tends to be 0.5 whole end year CA bonus tends to be 1 mth.
Therefore for a C+ performer, can expect 4.5 mths. Same as what I had earlier posted.
