With SQP now, any tom dick harry with any jiapalang degree can become on par with an accountacy major with half a year to spare and 850 dollar. I would say a DL accounting is on par with its uselessness as a DL B&F degree.

DL Accounting grads are still fine in what they learn. Most of the good ones are usually supplemented with ACCA.

my only advice is that if you want to do distance learning, do something else like supply chain, logistics, HR, ISM...

think u accountants (& to-be) need to be concern with the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) 2015 instead.
"The AEC would pave the way for the free flow of skilled labour in eight professions comprising doctors, dentists, nurses, engineers, architects, accountants, surveyors and the tourism industry."

cause none of the local unis offer these, or rather no degrees are titled with these. these areas are just a small component in the courses. they have hr, scm modules for mainly biz and eng students. except for ism, if it means info sys mgt. smu and nus both offer it as a degree/major
