just wondering why the person above never try going for the public/civil service?
Local NUS pass degree + NS already fetch you a decent 3300 offer..

Joining the government is the last thing I want to do. It's not my interest to be a civil servant.

Joining the government is the best option ever, high starting pay, high middle pay, high average retirement pay.

A normal grad will get you 3.1k (pass degree) all the way to 4.2k(dd) (this guy at iras).

After 3years at work, you get 4k if moe teacher slightly higher.

after 5years you get 4.5k (which many people say its very livable already!)

Somemore very work-life balance, lots of benefits, ns supportive, easy task and boring co-workers.

Plus! Government wun collapse one rite?

Where else you find this type of job?

A lot of my amry/clsmates couldnt find job in priv sector so they went they government way, now they are paid higher

if i really want to join maybe wait 10 more years when i will be 36.. then join government and semi-retire haha

Sounds like another sakae stunt. 2.8k for a recep with O level cert & no local take up???

Post a proper job ad with company name and contact address then we believe you. If it's sneaky stuff like need to PM, email etc., most likely is just the usual mlm insurance property or get rich quick agents

You really may want to consider again. Its not just the starting pay difference, the mid pay is also difference, it may take you anyway from 10 -> 15years or forever to catch up to government pay rate.

Simple maths: 500/mth at 3% increment * number of months = amount you lost!!

Just take the government job 1st, then if really dun fit, transit to priv sector by then your last drawn pay also high rite?
