Are there any responses that will prevent you from looking bad if you quit your last job without getting a new one?

Are reasons like, want to think about career direction, wanted to focus on part time studies, wanted to take a break to travel for a while unfavorable?

Most HR managers would be able to immediately decipher honest truth from the crap excuses that people dish out during interviews...

Usually there're only a handful of reasons why a person would rather go jobless and hungry than to stay employed..

1) the person cannot perform in his/her job and is "invited" to leave...

2) the person cannot survive the company politics.. Cause of death is due to excessive bleeding from the numerous back-stabbing..

3) The individual is overly idealistic about purpose of life... is navie enough to think that he can eat air and drink rain untill the perfect job comes along... But has already woken up to the reality.... becos savings account is down to the last few dollars.. and the family is threatening to kick him out of the house because he is not contributing economically to the household...

4) Fantasized about being an entrepreneur but lost it all in some silly startup and so now has be become an employee again...

Try to attribute it to poor health perhaps?
Dont state the serious ones but mild illness like vertigo due to ear infection.

generally employers do not like to hear about poor health coz they think you will take lots of mcs if they hire you
