Retail Salesperson's commission
Hi, I would like to know, for those working in retail shops such as watch shops, electrical appliance shops, computer shops, sports shops....normally the commission is shared among all the retail salespeople or is it based on individual's sales?
IF based on individual's sales, then wouldn't everyone in the shop be "fighting" each other to "snatch" customers? If based on the shops's overall sales, then some people would laze around and just ride on the others?
Can give me some ideas about how to make a commission plan for the retail sales people? In my trade, the salesperson's ability to convince the customer to buy an item is very important....customers don't just walk in and buy without talking to the salespeople.
Thank you!
