Security clearance is known to take months.

1 month is considered relatively fast.

Better not wait as the recruiting unit is known to clear a few candidates for 1 job.

Why? Some may reject the offer, then they offer to 2nd in line.

If you're within a banded job, e.g. DX7-8 or 9-11 and constantly just hit C grade, does it mean you will never get to promote to a higher DX within the band or even shift from B to S to P?

Am new to my role but worried about future performance.

Should still be able to promote within the band

btw guys if i go jc, do i need to send over my embrassing JC mid year results??? tbh i was so embrassed i threw them away

Assuming that you are talking about applying for a DXO role, you only need to submit your A lvl certificate. No worries about poor interim results, I was a school dropout but I still entered as a DX13. Good luck.

Joined in 2024 and left service recently after <1.5 years. (I was active in this forum then.)

Workplace (SAF camp - 1h 15m door-to-door commute, including needing to catch a shuttle bus) too far and too many CCAs (not in the JD).

Had 2 days WFH, but often could do only 1 day due to meetings and stuff.

able to share which camp or what is your 'vocation'? one thing I hate about joining MINDEF/SAF is they always have alot of CCAs. im jealous of those smaller ministries/stat boards who are really focused on their primary JD.

The WFH part alone seems like one of the best in the Public Service.

CCAs are not in the JD till you put it in.
