Default Will new employer rescind my contract?

Hi all,

I graduated from uni this year and now I have got a job offer which I've signed already. They are currently doing my background check. Before I got this current job, I worked a short stint of 1 month at another company within the same industry but I quit during my probation due to a really toxic boss and working environment. I did not include this job in my resume as it was only 1 month, when asked during interview about employment from graduation till now, I've said no. But now they've asked to see my cpf contribution for the past few years.

How should I explain if they were to ask about why there is a 1month CPF contribution recently?

Better tell the truth and take the hit, if any.

If asked about the verbal answer, you can claim to have misunderstood the question.

The 1 month stint was not significant due to short duration.

Not sure why are you worried about this?

First of all,

CPF contribution history is only up to 15 months. You could get CPF contribution for anything, contractor, freelance, etc, it's all entirely up to the employer to give you CPF or not.

The only CPF contribution you have is this 1 month stint you did which can be easily explained as

"Oh it was a contract freelance role, the company told me that it was not an actual 'employment' hence why I did not disclose it during the interview, I apologize if there was any misunderstanding here".

As simple as that. Everyone knows Singapore English is dogshit, this foreign MNC won't hold it against you.

In the end they did ask about it, and they asked to share employment letter for that short stint and asked whether the reason for leaving was voluntary resignation or involuntary termination. I've sent it to them and briefly explain my reason for leaving. Now just waiting for reply, hopefully all goes well...

gap just put gap, short stint just dont put
dont ask dont tell
if they never ask, why need to tell?

put gap in resume and interviewers never ask,no need to tell
if they ask then you answer, they still choose to call you up despite the gap in your resume
if background check come out or ask for cpf history then can show
they never ask in the first place and still want to hire you
you can say they never ask and you never withheld information

some people pregnant still go for job interview
