Thats true... and given the current standard of SQP requirement alone (out of many requirements), most of the people will be eliminated because the papers are increasingly tougher...

Chartered accountant aka SQP is only important if you need to sign accounts. So if you do not aim to be partner, actually don't need it. Some people I know + myself actually stop paying the fees for CA after we left Big4.

Accreditation is a sneaky biz that preys on people's kiasuness

Really? Some of the Finance Manager and above job roles there are some companies that still prefers CA tbh
