Most private degree grads start off ~2.5k +/-

In most places your degree of honours doesn't make any difference to pay.

Yes I don't know why this has been brought up time and time again. Yours class of honors rarely has any implications on your salary. What it does is getting you a seat at the table to be interviewed. Most MA programs have a cutoff at Second Upper so there.

MA programs are great and you get to rotate around. However, there are limited slots and if you do not get into the program, it is not the end of the world/your career. I joined a foreign bank last year as a direct hire(entry level role). Starting pay was 4.7k. One year later, got promoted due to exceptional performance. Salary is now 6k+. My advice is to try to get a leg into the industry and then prove your worth.
Good luck everyone!

I was hired to Prepare pitch books and review material for the bank. Slowly transitioned to a client facing role and support in pitches/ reviews. Private banking side.

Would that role be called Investment Councilor or Investment Advisor? I believe that's what they're called in Citibank.
