class of honours matters only if you have a good degree.

Doesn't class of honours imply good degree? Lol. Can you be clearer. Would a good degree mean local 3 uni, top 20 overseas school, degree with hard major?

the unfortunate truth is there is a stigma against private degrees in Singapore. Yes, there are companies out there that does not care which university you came from and look at your potential etc, but those companies does not look at your class of honours either since to them your education is not the most important part. The important part would be your interview.
Companies that cares about class of honours are those that cares about the university that the degree came from. Hence why i say class of honours are only important if you have a good degree
