that said, to be rich, you need to be a tow kay.

working for others will lead you nowhere, unless you're a hotshot banker / trader / permanent secretary / minister (to me, lawyers and doctors are towkays in their own right), but places are so limited, competition so stiff and politics so ugly that being a successful small-time multi-millionaire towkay is definitely a much easier and less painful route.

my point is: if you wanna be rich while working for others, stop dreaming. go strive to become a towkay instead. otherwise, just be contented with that decent condo and family car.

School teachers with 10 yrs experience easily earns >120k per year. I think that is pretty comfortable.
