It's like you go to uni for 2-3 hours a day and if you are lucky enough, you might only have 3 days of school. The only time you will be worried/stress is when exams or assignments are due (haha!). Apart from that, most of your time are spend with friends, lazing around at home, chilling at the cafe and travelling.

Over the weekends, you can hop onto Jetstar or Virgin Blue, and realise you are in Sydney (which is another beautiful state especially if you prefer city life).

You will be amazed with the number of Asians there (esp in UMelb and Monash), so don't worry about that! Plus, you will meet people from all over the world and seeing how rich those PRC are (compared to the ones we see in Sg) and how they spent their money.

So, I would highly recommend you to go overseas if you have the opportunity. Not only to see the world, but also experience things which you can never experience in Singapore.

Best of luck!
Is it easy to get a job in Melbourne / Sydney after graduation? Are there campus recruitment events?

Yes! There are heaps of campus recruitment especially in the Commerce and Engineering area. But it might not be easy because most companies only offer jobs to Australian or PR which is really hard to get nowadays due to the influx of foreigners.

I would say not many Singaporeans... mostly it would be the malaysians or PRC who continue to stay in Australia.

On the other hand, Singapore gives out PR like toilet paper.

But they are staying there in the hope of finding a permanent job/for vacation or?

And by the way, I heard expenses in Melb is quite high! Even higher than Singapore? Any way of cutting down on expenses?

I wish!!

Just had a mate get his work pass rejected, let alone a PR!. He had been working here in SG for two years now, then the government decides to succumb to foreigner hatred and pulls the rug from under his feet!

The toilet papers were given over the last 5 years before the government woke up from deep slumber. Your mate was late. Too bad.
