Hello, good day to you. Could you share what major you did?

This forum is so cringe, nothing but babies arguing all the time.

I want to get some real info and half the time need to scroll past 5-6 pages just to get 1-2 good info.

Am the op

They just increased my salary to 4.2k today from their annual salary review. A bit shocked since I just joined and did nothing substantial yet

Seems to be happening across the public sector albeit at different times. I got a ~$400 increment out of the blue also. Fresh grad FCH.

(you can go ahead and try getting a FCH in engineering/sciences/maths, i doubt u will succeed) Furthermore, a simple check in entry requirement for arts shows that it is a dumping ground for people who can't make it elsewhere. Without considering the content of arts majors, the bell curve is alr so much easier with less smart people inside lor. If you really think the arts major FCH is still harder than stem major FCH then you are just plain delusional. No HR will agree with that pls.
As far as I can remember, some engineering courses and sciences have got lower cut-off points for entry compared to FASS. So honestly by your definition, some STEM majors certainly qualify as "dumping ground".

True that FASS majors don't earn as much as STEM majors.

BUT false that FASS is a dumping ground. The entry requirements for FASS are higher than a lot of NUS/NTU Engineering courses and NBS.
