contract signed already? look at the employment contract lor. u can write code means u can read an employment contract. what is the notice period. what are the terms for payment in lieu of notice.
the most important question is whether cost of legal action outweighs how much u can get back. anw, shopee is likely going to pay you in lieu anyway right.

Information on retrenchment or rescindment are fake. Probably scare tactics by competition to undermine the confidence in Shopee. I'm inside and I have not heard of any announcements, townhall or gossips regarding it.

Retrenchment is other sectors that is not making profit and losing money.
Not hiring is only those Chinese foreigners.
Still hiring local because Singapore law dictates 1 foreigner for every 5 Singaporean
