Mayfair Gardens @ Rifle Range Road
Oxley Holdings has confirmed that they will be launching the new low-rise condominium on the site of the former Mayfair Gardens for sale soon. And they will be re-cycling the name, so it will still be called Mayfair Gardens. There seems to be a trend of recycling names. (Guess if it ain't broke, don't fix it! After all, its quite a nice name.) Here is a pic of the former Mayfair Gardens before it was torn down.
And as befits the name, the design concept for the new Mayfair Gardens will be colonial / English style. (If that sounds familiar, you have probably heard it over at Park Colonial.) Since this is a low-rise 5 storey high development, the English garden theme might come out very well here.
Location-wise, this is actually a pretty convenient place to be. It is 315 metres from the King Albert Park MRT station, about a 5 minute stroll. Mayfair Gardens is also just round the corner, 5 minutes walk in the other direction, from Bukit Timah Plaza which has a pretty complete list of all the stuff you need - supermarket, clinics, banks, lifestyle shops, food court, fast food joints, restaurants and cafes.
If you are interested to know more or be kept informed about the launch details or floor plans, just head over and maybe register for the Mayfair Gardens showflat viewing too. Oxley bought this site at quite a good price compared to the Fourth Avenue site, so keeping our fingers crossed that they will price it with a good discount!
But if you are looking for a freehold property in the Bukit Timah area, rather than leasehold, then consider the Mont Botanik condo instead, by Tuan Sing Holdings. Mont Botanik will be launching slightly earlier than Mayfair Gardens, in August this month. In fact it is likely that the Mont Botanik Residence showflat could open for viewing appointments around 18 August.

Latest Update on Mayfair Gardens
Some updates on Mayfair Gardens.
The pictures showing the design have been released, and they are absolutely gorgeous! See the pic below. The architecture is supposed to be inspired by Mayfair Gardens in London, but it is a modern take on the theme. It distills the vertical and horizontal elements, and reframes them with cleaner lines to create an elegance that is reminiscent of a more leisured era and colonial days. Rather attractive.
Exact date for the VIP Preview is still not finalised yet. Look out for more updates!

The Mayfair Gardens VIP Preview started last Saturday 15 September. It went quite well, quite a good response. A number of cheques were collected.
Balloting will be on Saturday 29 September, so there is still one more weekend for viewing the Mayfair Gardens showflat, if you are so inclined. The showflat is not very big, but it does showcase a couple of unit types.
