Furthermore, is it common for people to make the jump from pte sector to public service successfully in terms of job applications?
Thank you!

We are both in different industries so the comparison will not be accurate. I think he is on low 4k while I am close to 5k. Bonus wise I am average 5 to 5.5 months.
For public sector I think the bonus is competitive too.

Don't be misleading. Only a select few fresh graduates get a salary that high. Usually, first class honours in conjunction with an MX12 position.
Most fresh graduates will be somewhere in the 3k range.

I doubt so. If the title is an "engineer", the fresh grad pay is already at least $3.5k.

if u r talking about female, sure. average out maybe mid to high 3k. but for male, most of them are pushing near 4k or more... unless u r talking about those 2nd lower and 3rd class which are less likely to be hired to begin with.
source: im from the 2016 cohort with many course mates in the civil/public service.

Pay Adjustment
Hi All. Anyone knows if there'll be any pay adjustment (not yearly increment for PB)this year for stat board?

Didnt heard of pay adjustment if it is not inline with yearly increment with PB... Normally it is together, where you "heard" of this? Normally it is exceptional case or for new staff to faclitate their onboarding. You might want to check with your HR on this.
