Age 34 with 10 years experience.
Finance Manager of fmcg company, not as powerful as my peers who work in banks.
Now earning SGD 12k per month, with aws and variable bonus.
Got potential offer of SGD 14k to join another company.
Local Uni grad.

34 earning 12k is already very good, why compare if your peers are more 'powerful' or not?

Agreed...

His name is "NotSingaporean" yet he thinks exactly like a true Singaporean lol if I was earning 12k a month at 34, I would aim to retire at 45 and get the fk out of this depressing self-pwning country.

34 earning 12k is not impossible. I happen to be 34 work in TikTok and earn 14k/month. SMU graduate. 7.5 YOE. Would attribute a bit to luck as well as my field is in demand.

33yo sg male. Nearing 8 yoe and drawing 13k pm. Total annual comp 190k. Engineering (non-tech) sector.

Same age as you; total comp ard 12 to 13k per month. No need to work overtime and weekends.
