52, M. Retiring @ 55. Will collect $200k cash from CPF @ 55. Will spend $200k from 55 to 65. @ 65, collect CPF Life till death. Small apartment paid up. No debt. I am successful as I can retire @ 55. Many of my friends cannot retire @ 55 because they still have lots of mortgage to clear because they bought expensive houses and they spend a lot. I am a simple nobody. Happy.

I am.preplexed at how some people glorify being a slave with their shiny degrees slaving for 12 hours a day being paid what is essentially a pittance of $10k, $20k, $50k a month exchanging his/her time and health while the no degree, can't speak proper english/chinese business owners enjoy their time golfing, holidaying making $5m, $10m, $20m a year leveraging on the slaves time and effort while throwing bits of leftovers every now and then to "keep it interesting" among the slaves and see them argue who could be a better slave. Lol

You are one of the slaves, so what’s your point?

This is true. People are exchanging time for money and health.

Life is meant to be enjoyed.

My point is it does not matter what degree you have or where you are educated. You are still being schooled by the no degree, never go to Uni or college SME towkay who is employing most of Singapore's workforce. Including those with degrees. So stop arguing and work harder so that towkay can buy a brand new Tesla.
